Cancellation Policies

NO REFUND (full charge) – If cancelled within 2 days of arrival.

Any booking made within 48hrs before arrival is NON-REFUNDABLE.


Terms and Conditions

Terms of Booking: Guest will be asked to show a valid identification ID (passport or drivers licence) upon check in. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us first. To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access strictly at management express permission. When making reservation, we collect payment details and we may authorize the full amount or charge a deposit on your credit card to check for authenticity and make sure it has enough funds. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out here within. Payments can be made online / over the phone using debit or credit card as well as by digital bank transfer. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

Check-in & Check-out: Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated: Check-in: 02:00 PM or after on day of arrival. Check-out by: 10:00 AM on day of departure. Any check-in after 08:00 PM must be arranged in advance.

Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions: Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions; Cancellation made 2 days or less prior to arrival = NO REFUND.

Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason – the full amount of the booking will be due. In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy: Where WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests. The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

Damages & Lost Property: We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes but not limited to breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings, missing remote controls, towels, etc. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a $25 replacement charge per key, total of $50. Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via registered mail at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

SMOKING: Smoking inside the room is strictly prohibited. Anyone deemed smoking inside the room/building by motel staff/management will be charged minimum $400 reconstructive fee. We have smoke alarm installed in each room and several in and around the building common areas. A designated smoking area is provided – please ask the reception.

Use of Illegal substance: Anyone deemed using illegal substance inside the motel premises by motel staff/management will be asked to leave immediately without any refund or compensation, and will be reported to the authority.

PETS: We DO NOT accept pets / companion pets throughout the accommodation. Guests with trained and certified guide, hearing or assistance dog will be asked to show their handler’s identity card and valid application notice, and must ensure that their dog is wearing a harness or identifying coat as required by GHADA.

Parking. Free parking is possible on site, but is limited. Strictly 1 car per room only. Reservation is not needed. Guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk. 

Use of Communal Area: Access to swimming pool is from 7 Am to 7 PM. Guest can cook and prepare meals in the guest kitchen upstairs given they will clean after themselves. Failure to do so and leaving unwashed items in the kitchen will incur a cleaning fee of minimum $50.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS: All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent, step-parent, guardian or other adult who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18 year old guest to check-in. All guests under the age of 18 are NOT allowed in the Swimming Pool / Kitchen & BBQ Area unless accompanied by a responsible adult.

EVENTS BEYOND CONTROL: Childers Oasis Motel is not responsible for any loss arising out of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule. All travel documents, observance of laws and government regulations are your responsibility. USE OF INFORMATION. You consent and authorize Childers Oasis Motel to collect, use and disclose your personal information for the purposes of administering your booking and providing you with any services associated with your booking. Childers Oasis Motel will not provide or disclose any information you have provided without your prior written consent. Upon request by you and to the extent permitted or required by law, Childers Oasis Motel will provide you with access to and/or the ability to correct your personal information however only the person who made the booking will be entitled to access and/or correct personal information pertaining to that booking.

Our Right To Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.

GENERAL: The Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
